Domain Privacy Protection

Current domain regulations require contact information to be included in a publicly accessible database known as WhoIs; not only your name, but your street address, email and telephone number is all publically available to anyone who can find your website, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Privacy Protection for domains works in the same way as having your phone number "unlisted"- it prevents people from gaining access to your private information. For domains with Privacy Protection, all personal information is held in confidentiality and protected by a Domain Privacy Service. Their contact information is displayed instead of yours, protecting you against spammers and would-be identity theives.

With Privacy Protection, spammers cannot harvest your email address or redistribute it to marketing firms using your domain registration. Protected domains use dynamic email system changes the email address so it cannot be misused by spammers, and the The Protection Service maintains your real email address, so you can still receive legitimate contacts regarding your domain. For postal mail regarding your domain, anything that doesn't appear to be unsolicited commercial mail will usually get forwarded to you. (You cannot, however, use it as a free mail forwarding service.)

Even with Privacy Protection enabled, you retain full legal ownership and control over your domain. You can still sell, renew, transfer and change settings to your domain name just the same as before, or temporarily disable the ID Protection service if you need to.

Don't worry. We provide Privacy Protection on your domains, FREE!
